Tornado Headed for Sevierville Tennessee!!!!
Today the Wilderness at the Smokies construction crew is assembling the Tennessee Tornado (known as the Hurricane in Wisconsin). As you see here the frame is well on it's way and the tubes are assembled and waiting to be attached. The tornado will be part of the massive indoor waterpark that is scheduled to open in late December.
"The funnel ride is all about size. Pumping approximately 10,000 gallons of water per minute and towering an estimated 75 feet in the air. Riders are placed in two or four person tubes, facing one another while they spin, twirl and screech around the walls of the funnel until they’re eventually plunked down into the black hole and water. Shopping in the Smokies
More and more people are now looking for shopping venues as a part of their vacation experience no matter where they go. This is true for Sevierville as well. Studies show that shopping is a major part of what people want in a vacation destination.
Sevierville City Event Center Brings Thousands to Bridgemont!
As you can see in the pictures the Sevierville City Event Center has been bringing thousands of visitors to Bridgemont. Some of the big events have been the Log Home & Timber Frame Show, Corvette Expo in the Smokies, International Gift Exposition, Norton's Gift & Variety Show just to name a few. The Norton Gift and Variety Show filled over 900 parking places and the overflow parking stretched for miles. There is just one problem...All of these folks have to stay in hotels, cabins, etc. off-site. Imagine how happy these folks will be to have luxury accomodations in a one of a kind waterpark resort right here in Bridgemont once River Lodge is complete! Norton plans to return for at least 4 shows in 2008.
